NDSCS Freshman Desean Phillips Named MCAC West Offensive Player of the Week
Freshman running back Desean Phillips was named the MCAC West Division Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in a 20-6 NDSCS win over rival Dakota College – Bottineau. Phillips rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on 23 rushes.

Saturday was the third time this season Phillips has exceeded the 100-yard mark, including back-to-back games. He has amassed 326 yards over his last two games, both were Wildcat victories. The program is currently undefeated when he hits the century mark.
His dominance continues to be impressive on a national scale.
Phillips ranks second in rushing yards per game (125.3), third in total rushing yards (501), fifth in rushing touchdowns (5) and sixth in yards per rush (7.5).
He also is tied for the second longest rush from scrimmage this season (88 yards).
NDSCS ranks third nationally as a team in rushing yards per game (234) behind an experienced offensive line which includes All-American and two-time Player of the Week Nick Radunz, as well as classmate Josue Bopeya.
The Wildcats are 3-1 on the season and undefeated in MCAC Western Division play. NDSCS will visit Minnesota State-Fergus Falls on Saturday.
