Wildcats Win Home Opener vs Jimmies JV 36-14
The Wildcats pounced early, earning the first score of the game on a 18 yard touchdown run by Chandler Ross making the score 6-0. Late in the first with a minute twenty remaining the Jimmies stole the lead and went for two making it 6-8 to end the first quarter. After that it was all wildcats with NDSCS scoring 30 unanswered points including a 95 yard bomb from Boxwell to Carothers that was taken to the house to start the 4th quarter making the score NDSCS 36 Jamestown Jimmies 8. With less than 4 minutes to go in the game and down by 28 points the Jimmies scored one final touchdown to make the final score 36-14 in favor of the wildcats. NDSCS finished the game with 458 total yards including 217 yards on the ground and a great first game from Drew Boxwell who went 12-15 for 242 yards through the air and 2 touchdowns. Up next the Wildcats will face Minnesota West Community & Technical College along with Minnesota State Community & Technical College on the road where they will look to stay undefeated before returning home for a rematch of last year's championship game against College of DuPage on Saturday September 16th @1:00 pm.
