The Wildcat offense was firing on all cylinders Monday night as they dispatched Bismarck State College 106-70.
After giving up a basket on the opening possession, Sam Baker (Fr.) drilled a three from the left wing and the Wildcats never looked back as they raced out to a 59-37 half time lead. NDSCS made 13 treys in the first half and shot 55% from the field.
The opening three ball from Baker was just one of his seven en route to 37 points on 14/20 shooting from the field. He also added four rebounds and two assists.
The scoring continued in the second half as the Wildcats outscored BSC 47-33 to finish the game at 53% from the field and 48% from beyond the arc. The ball moved around effortlessly on offense for the Cats as they finished with 22 assists to just seven turnovers.
Other key contributors for NDSCS were Marquis Holloman (Fr.) and Oman Oman (Fr.) as they finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Johnnie Turner (So.) was also instrumental to the Wildcats' offensive efficiency as he dished out a team high seven assists.
On the defensive side of the ball NDSCS forced 17 BSC turnovers, including nine steals, and outrebounded the Mystics 49-40.
This win moves NDSCS to 15-4 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
