NDSCS Hoops swept Ridgewater College on Tuesday evening at Ed Werre Arena, helping both teams keep their winning streaks intact.
Led by Tom Dryburgh, the women have now won five straight games after Tuesday’s 98-25 handling of RC. The Wildcats allowed just one field goal in the first quarter and extended a 21-2 advantage to a 48-9 rout by halftime.
Five players reached double figures, led by Kate Carlson’s 14 points. Emily-Kate Parker (13), Zaraya March (11), Monique Wooten (11) and Olivia Williams (10) were the other scoring leaders, with March adding seven steals. Parker is also shooting a blister 12-for-25 from 3-point range over her last four contests.
Stu Engen’s group won their fourth straight game, 97-65, leading for nearly the game’s entirety as well.
The Wildcats led 57-19 at the half, putting together one of their most complete halves of the season.
Idaho State signee Noble Cooper led the way with 25 points and eight rebounds. Freshman point guard Khari Broadway added 19 points. NDSCS shot 56 percent from the field as a team.
The women will return to action on Thursday with a trip to Northland. Both programs will head to Devils Lake this weekend for the Lake Region State Classic where they’ll square off with Turtle Mountain and perennial JUCO power Sheridan.
