Khari Broadway Named Mon-Dak Player of the Year
North Dakota State College of Science sophomore guard Khari Broadway was named the Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Year. Classmates JaQuan Sanders-Smith and Ty Horner joined Broadway on the All-Mon-Dak Team.
North Dakota State College of Science sophomore guard Khari Broadway was named the Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Year. Classmates JaQuan Sanders-Smith and Ty Horner joined Broadway on the All-Mon-Dak Team.
Broadway led the Wildcats to a runner-up finish in the conference, averaging 14.1 points, four assists and 3.9 rebounds. He also shot 53 percent from the floor. He was at his best down the stretch, averaging 20 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists over his final seven games.
He becomes the seventh Wildcat in the last nine seasons under Stu Engen to win the award.
Sanders-Smith - a first-team selection - averaged 11.9 points and 3.9 assists, while shooting 48 percent from the floor and 42 percent from 3-point range. Horner - a second-team honoree - averaged 11.7 points, six rebounds and 1.7 blocks.
NDSCS finished the season at 16-7.
