Lady Wildcats Defeat UTTC on the Road

The #20 North Dakota State College of Science Women's Basketball team beat United Tribes Technical College 71-66 on Thursday Night. UTTC got a quick jump on NDSCS by opening up the game with a 20-5 lead late in the first quarter. The Wildcats worked their way back into the game and went into halftime only down by three points. The second half was a tough battle, but NDSCS made multiple plays to keep their lead and pull out a 71-66 win on the road.
Mina Porte lead the Wildcats with 16 points, while Lauren Johnson contributed 12 points. Sophomore Georgia Perrott-Hunt was 5-of-8 from the floor with 10 points.
Freshman Tera-Nay Lee led the team with six rebounds and Breahna Butler added five rebounds.
With the win, the Wildcats advance to 7-0 in conference and 21-2 overall on the season. The women are in action again at home on Monday, February 5th at 5:30pm when they take on Dawson Community College at the Blikre Activities Center.
