Carlson, Metcalfe Named 1st Team All-Mon-Dak Conference

Sophomore posts Kate Carlson and Nikki Metcalfe were named First-Team All-Mon-Dak Conference on Tuesday morning.

Carlson, a Madison, Wis. native, finished first in field goal percentage (56.7 percent), fifth in scoring (16.9 points) and sixth in rebounding (7.9 rebounds). The 6-foot-1 forward finished with five double-doubles.

Metcalfe, a Donvale, AU native, averaged 10.1 points and seven rebounds. The 6-foot-2 Arkansas Tech signee blocked 15 shots in 14 games. She capped the season with an 11-point and 11-rebound double-double, which also included four blocks.

The “Twin Towers” have guided NDSCS to wins in 10 of their last 11 games entering Saturday’s North Central District Championship, at home, against Malcolm X College.

The Wildcats are 26-6 this season and have won 80 of their last 91 games at Ed Werre Arena.
