(#13) Wildcats go 2-0 on the Weekend to Remain Unbeaten
Wildcats defeat NIACC 81-77 and UJ JV 94-85
The NDSCS Wildcat Women's Basketball team hosted the AmericInn Classic at home this weekend for both the men and the women. The women played NIACC on Friday night and came away with an 81-77 victory. Maggie Westling dominated the entire night finishing with 29 points and 23 rebounds. Demi Van Gils was also instrumental finishing with 19 points and 4 rebounds. Mckena Koolmo was the other player in double digits with 13 points. The Trojans were led by Tori Miller who had 23 points on 11/17 shooting.
Saturday afternoon, the Wildcats hosted the University of Jamestown JV and came away with 94-85 victory. Westling finished with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Koolmo had 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both Mia Berryhill and Peyton Gette had 12 points. Berryhill added 6 rebounds and 4 assists as well. The Jimmies were led by Emily Kurkowski who had 32 points on the night.
The #13 ranked Wildcats are now 5-0 on the young season and are back in action next weekend as they host RCTC and Anoka-Ramsey at home for the Baymont Inn Classic in Wahpeton.
