NDSCS head volleyball coach Jane Passa has announced the addition of two new players to the 2020 signing class. Calyn Crockett and Holly Peckosh bring the 2020 class to eight players with Passa anticipating one more addition to fill out the 2020 roster.
Both are regional players that will not only add size and athleticism, but also come from winning cultures.
Crockett, a 5-foot-11 setter from Langdon, N.D., comes to NDSCS after helping Langdon win a state championship in 2019. She appeared in five state tournaments during her prep career. Although she primarily set in high school, Passa believes she’s versatile enough to play several different roles as a Wildcat, including transitioning to OH.
“Calyn comes from a strong ND Volleyball school and understands what it takes to be successful on the court and win,” said Passa. “She has experience at every position, leading the Cardinals to a state title as a setter this year. But she is also able to hit and play great defense. We are excited to see Calyn bring that winning attitude to NDSCS.”
Peckosh, a 5-foot-10 middle from Hill City, S.D., won 57 games over her last two seasons at Hill City. She tallied more than 100 blocks during her senior campaign. Passa loves Peckosh’s size and ability to make winning plays. She also has the versatility to play several different positions along the net.
“Holly is very athletic and versatile,” said Passa. “She will be able to play many positions; we are excited to see her develop as a middle and right hitter. Holly will continue to develop, and we expect great things from her.”
