Kortney Carney Named NJCAA National Player of the Week
NDSCS sophomore setter Kortney Carney (Moorhead, MN) has been named the NJCAA D2 National Player of the Week following a string of dominant performances. Carney complied 115 assists, 37 digs and 12 kills – including a season-high 44 assists vs. Bottineau – leading the Wildcats to a 3-0 record. She’s currently second nationally in assists per set (12.78) and also ranks top five in digs per set (4.11) and blocks per set (.56) for setters.

The Mon-Dak Conference also named Carney as its player of the week.
NDSCS made its first appearance in the NJCAA DII Top 20 Poll this week, making the largest jump of the week to No. 10 following a perfect 3-0 week. The Wildcats will be idle this week, but travel to Dawson for a pair of games next week to continue Mon-Dak Conference play.
