No. 14 Wildcats Sweep Bottineau in Region XIII Semifinals

The win represented the Wildcats eighth straight victory and third win over DCB this season. NDSCS – ranked No. 14 nationally – has dropped just one set against Region XIII opponents this year.
Freshman Bailee Brommenschenkel matched a career-high with 13 kills. It is the third time this season she’s reached that number. Sophomore Kortney Carney finished with 36 assists, exceeding the 30-assists mark for the 15th time this season.
Carney is currently 4th nationally in assists per set and 7th in total assists.
The Cats will host Bismarck State on Wednesday for the Region XIII Championship. It’ll be the fourth meeting this season between the two programs with NDSCS winning all three previous contests and 9 of the 10 sets played.
Wednesday’s contest will begin at 7 p.m. with the winner advancing to the Northwest Plains championship on Friday. NDSCS or Bismarck State would host that match.
