Phillips rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries in North Dakota State College of Science’s 51-0 win over Minnesota State – Fergus Falls.
The freshman phenom has been nothing short of spectacular running behind a dominant offensive line led by All-American Nick Radunz.
With three consecutive 100-yard, two touchdown games, Phillips now leads the nation in rushing yards per game (126.4). He’s second in total rushing yards (632) and fourth in rushing touchdowns (7) and yards per rush (7.9).
NDSCS is currently undefeated when Phillips rushes for 100 or more yards. He’s on track to be the program’s first 1,000-yard back in nearly a decade.
