North Dakota State College of Science went 2-0 this weekend at the NDSCS AmericInn Classic, topping Leech Lake, 99-69, and Northeast (Neb.), 89-75, in their first action since the Mon-Dak Preseason Conference Tournament earlier this month.

North Dakota State College of Science went 2-0 this weekend at the NDSCS AmericInn Classic, topping Leech Lake, 99-69, and Northeast (Neb.), 89-75, in their first action since the Mon-Dak Preseason Conference Tournament earlier this month.
The win over Northeast saw the Wildcats lead by as many as 18 points in the second half, a game they controlled throughout.
All-American sophomore Duoth Gach finished with a season-high 25 points. Freshman Khari Broadway added 22 points and six assists. Redshirt freshman Diang Gatlauk chipped in 13 points, five rebounds and three assists off the bench.
The Cats also help sophomore Emmette Page to a modest 20 points, forcing him into eight turnovers. Page entered Saturday as the nation’s fifth-leading scorer, scoring 25 or more in three of his first five games.
On Friday, NDSCS drilled Leech Lake with Uhana Ochan leading three players in double figures with 15 points.
The Wildcats were a combined plus-24 on the glass in their two games, outrebounding both opponents.
NDSCS will return to action on Tuesday when it hosts Ridgewater College.
