NDSCS Sweeps Dakota College - Bottineau in Mon-Dak Home Opener
NDSCS in its first match since having a 12-game home winning streak snapped, the Wildcats were dominant in their Mon-Dak home-opener, sweeping Dakota College – Bottineau 3-0 on Tuesday night at Ed Werre Arena. It was “Pancake Feed Night” for the fans, but the Cats were clearly hungry as well, jumping on DCB 25-14 and 25-9 in the first two sets of the night. Jane Passa’s group then rallied from a third-set deficit to steal the third set 25-19.

In its first match since having a 12-game home winning streak snapped, NDSCS (10-4) was dominant in its Mon-Dak home-opener, sweeping Dakota College – Bottineau 3-0 on Tuesday night at Ed Werre Arena.
It was “Pancake Feed Night” for the fans and the Cats were clearly hungry as well, jumping on DCB 25-14 and 25-9 in the first two sets of the night. Jane Passa’s group then rallied from a third-set deficit to steal the third set 25-19.

The entire roster top to bottom made pivotal contributions.
Freshman Ally Gruber established a new career-high with 12 kills on just 18 attacks. It was her first-ever double-digit kill game at NDSCS. Classmate Kaitlyn Emmil also recorded a career-high with seven kills off the bench, needing just 15 attacks.
Sophomore Lexi Hansch handed out 25 assists, her third straight game with at least 25 assists. Hansch has now reached that plateau in six of her last seven games. She surpassed the 1,500-assists mark in last weekend’s NDSCS Tournament.
Freshman Miah Gessell led the team with 11 digs. She’s tallied double-digit digs in 10 of her 14 games this season. Gessell and Hansch each added three service aces.
As a team, the Wildcats had a .326 kill percentage, the group’s second-high total of the season.
NDSCS will host Williston State on Wednesday and Bismarck State on Sep. 23 to cap its current seven-game home stand. The Cats have won eight of their last 10 games.
