Frank Vertin Field

Home to the Wildcat Football team, the Wildcats athletic field was named after Frank Vertin, a former Wahpeton businessman. Years ago, the Vertin family made a generous contribution to NDSCS in honor of Frank which was put towards the Frank Vertin Field. Then in 2007 a $1.5 million renovation began on the Frank Vertin Field and Earl "Skip" Bute Alumni Stadium.

The Frank Vertin Field includes:

  • A lighted football field
  • The Earl "Skip" Bute Alumni Stadium
  • 4 practice football fields
  • Outdoor track
  • 6 outdoor tennis courts
