Baseball Falls to Dawson on Saturday
The Wildcats dropped two games in Glendive, MT on Saturday to Dawson CC by scores of 3-7 and 4-11.
In the first game, Dawson opened the scoring in the fourth inning. The Wildcats would take the lead in the fifth when Skyler Fields hit a double scoring two runs. DCC had a big sixth inning where they scored six runs on three hits. Dyllon Geiser took the mound for the Wildcats going five innings allowing three runs on seven hits. He struck out two and walked three. Fileds and Tori Uhlich both had two hits on the game for the Wildcats. DCC had nine hits in the game.
In the second game, Dawson won 4-11 after scoring six runs in the first inning. Ryan Loewe got the 'Cats on the board in the first inning with a sac fly. DCC built their lead to 1-8 in the second inning. Jack Davies pitched four relief innings giving up four hits and three runs (two earned) while striking out two and zero walks. The Wildcats had nine hits on the game with Uhlich and Fields both had two hits again for NDSCS. Loewe, Fields, Uhlich, and Ben Clouse each had an RBI. NDSCS also had four steals on the game.
NDSCS and DCC play two more on Sunday.
