Baseball Falls in Miles
The NDSCS Baseball team dropped their series against Miles Community College in four games.
The Wildcats dropped the first game by a score of 1-7. Dyllon Geiser took the mound for the 'Cats and gave up six runs (three earned) on three hits. Geiser struck out four batters in his four innings. Wrigley Gunderson scored the lone run on an RBI from Griffin Albrecht.
Hudson VerSteeg took the mound in game two pitching seven innings giving up five runs (all earned) on six hits with three strikeouts. Skyler Bladow led the team with two RBIs while Skyler Fields, Ryan Loewe, and Ben Clouse each picked up an RBI.
In game three, Miles got off to a quick start scoring six runs in the first three innings before exploding for seven runs in the sixth inning leading to a 4-14 Miles CC win. Garrett Solberg pitched for the 'Cats giving up seven runs in four innings. Ryan Loewe had a solid game at the plate going 2-3 with a home run and three RBIs with a run scored.
The fourth and final game of the series saw Ben Clouse take the mound for the Wildcats. Clouse went four innings giving up six runs (four earned) on six hits. The Wildcats fell in the game 2-8. Masen Allmaras went 2-4 with one run scored while Skyler Fields went 2-3 with an RBI.
The Wildcats are scheduled to play Dakota College at Bottineau this upcoming weekend at home in a four game series.
