Baseball Splits With Lake Region
NDSCS to Play Four Games in Williston This Weekend
NDSCS used a four run seventh inning in game one to come away with the victory in game one on Thursday in Devils Lake. A three RBI game from Masen Allmaras led the Wildcats to a 9-5 win in game one. The Wildcats had a 5-0 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning where Lake Region's batters were able to put five runs on the board tieing the game at 5-5 heading into the seventh and final inning. The Wildcats turned around and put four runs on the board in the seventh inning to get the win. Skyler Fields went 2-5 with two RBIs. The Wildcats scored nine runs on 12 hits committing two errors in the 9-5 win.
The scoring was early in game two where the game was 4-3 Wildcats after two innings. Lake Region added five more runs in the next two innings with NDSCS scoring one in the fourth. The Royals held on to their 5-8 lead and finished the game with the win. Tori Uhlich went 3-3 at the plate with two runs scored and an RBI. Ryan Loewe, Trace King, and Masen Allmaras each had two hits in the game. The Wildcats scored five runs on 10 hits and committed three errors in the 5-8 loss.
NDSCS (11-21) will travel to Williston to take on Williston State this weekend next.
