Wildcats Take Down Lumberjacks in 1st Round

NDSCS defeated Dakota College-Bottineau 41-15 in the first round of the MCAC playoffs on Saturday.
The Wildcat ground game was led by Kingston Myles as he rushed for 119 yards on 12 carries, including a 45 yard touchdown run. Prince Kruah and Jay-Len Brown also compiled 68 and 47 yards, respectively. Max Race threw for 75 yards on three completions before leaving the game with an ankle injry. He connected with wide out Grant Brown on a 34 yard touchdown pass on Science's game opening drive. Spencer Skeesick was perfect on extra point and field goal attempts going 5/5 on PAT's and 2/2 on field goals with a long of 23 yards.
JaDerian Johnson and Caleb Kennedy were all over the field for the Cats' defense as they combined for 20 tackles. NDSCS spent a great deal of time in the Bottineau backfield as they tallied nine tackles for loss, lead by Jamire Jackson and and Kareem Williams with three and two, respectively.
Up next for the Cats is a rematch with Central Lakes (7-2) in the MCAC Semi-Finals. NDSCS will travel to Brainerd, MN on Sunday, November 4th with kick off scheduled for 1:30 pm. The winner will advance to the State Championship at St. Cloud State University against the winner of Mesabi Range and Northland.
