NDSCS Football Earns Highest National Ranking Since 1999

NDSCS Football is currently ranked No. 2 in NJCAA DIII Football. The Wildcats haven’t been ranked this high since the 1999 scholarship team who was ranked No. 2 Nationally, Region XI Conference Champs, and had a 10-0 Record. This is the Wildcats Highest ranking yet as a non scholarship team.

NDSCS started out at No. 5 in the preseason poll (8/30/21) and have steadily climbed the leader board as the season's progressed. Week 1 saw an increase to No. 4 (9/6/21) which the Cats maintained into week 2 (9/13/21). Following a win over the then #3 Itasca, NDSCS jumped up to the No. 3 position, displacing Itastca in week 3 (9/20/21). The Cats maintained this position for another 2 weeks. In week 6, after a win over Rochester and an improved record of 7-0, the Wildcats break into the top two spots, claiming the No. 2 ranking right before MCAC playoffs.

MCAC Playoffs begin this Sunday October 24th with the NDSCS Wildcats (8-0) facing off against the Mesabi Range Norsemen (0-8) in the first round.
