Following a 74-59 win over Dawson CC in the Region XIII Championship, the NDSCS Men's Basketball team completed their fifth consecutive run to a Region Championship.
The Wildcats finished the season with a 26-7 record after to falling to Indian Hills CC in the District XI Championship, 76-88. Melvin Newbern Jr. led the way for NDSCS with 30 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Wildcats shot 49% from the field, 56% from three, and 100% from the foul line.
Three Wildcats were named to the Mon-Dak All Conference team. Melvin Newbern was named conference MVP. Sam Baker was a First Team selection and Johnnie Turner III was a Second Team selection.
