NDSCS Receives 4-Seed at NJCAA National Tournament
North Dakota State College of Science received the No. 4 seed in the NJCAA National Tournament held this week at Carrier Park Field of Dreams in Syracuse, New York. The Wildcats open the eight-team event against No. 5 RCSJ-Gloucester (24-9) at 10 a.m. on May 27th.

RCSJ-Gloucester went 24-9 during the regular season in Region 19, losing in the North Atlantic District tournament. They received one of the two available at-large bids to this year’s tournament.
The winner of NDSCS and RCSJ-Gloucester will meet the winner of No. 1 Rock Valley (47-7) and No. 8 Rainy River (18-12). The 2021 NJCAA National Tournament will again be a double-elimination event.
The other side of the bracket features No. 2 Corning (34-1) vs. No. 7 Suffolk County (23-2). Corning won the North A District championship and Suffolk County won the North Atlantic District championship. No. 2 Herkimer (18-4) – the North B District champion – will meet DuPage (18-17), who received an at-large bid from Region 4.
NDSCS (30-21) has one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, ranking 2nd in home runs (71), 3rd in doubles (93), triples (9) and total bases (807). They’re also 4th runs. Sophomores Demi Uffelman and Sydney Schott have combined for seven shutouts, which is the 2nd most nationally.
The Wildcats enter the tournament with a 13-game winning streak. This is the program’s second national tournament since its inception in 2015.
