Five Wildcats Named to All-American Team
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Thirteen players from six schools have garnered 2025 NFCA National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III All-America recognition, the Association revealed on Monday afternoon.
National champion North Dakota State College of Science boasted a team-best five All-Americans. National runner-up Patrick & Henry Community College followed with three honors. Rowan College South Jersey Gloucester earned two All-America plaudits with Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute, Hudson Valley Community College and Surry Community College each had one.
2025 NFCA NJCAA DIII All-Americans
Leading the way for North Dakota SCS is two-time Joan Joyce Utility/Pitcher All-American Emma Johnson (.373, 10 2B, 9 HR, 64 RBI / 12-5, 2.30 ERA, 105 K, 0.95 WHIP), who was named the NJCAA DIII Most Outstanding Player at the National Championship. She is joined by catcher Caitlyn Dannenfelzer (.384, 10 2B, 4 3 B, 7 HR, 52 RBI, 75 R, 40 SB), second baseman Rayelle Cooley (.427, 61 RBI, 22 2B, 63 R, 23 SB) and outfielders Blythe Proulx (.372, 13 HR, 56 RBI, 47 R, 17 SB, .481 OBP) and Meridith Frey (.406, 70 H, 11 2B, 69 R, 63 SB, .485 OBP).
Patrick & Henry CC shortstop Laila Rodriguez (.439, 83 H, 7 2B, 61 R, 57 SB) is the program's first two-time All-American and was named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player at the National Championship. Pitcher Kayla Bartley (20-6, 1.99 ERA, 172 K, 0.95 WHIP, .221 opp. BA) and outfielder Greenly Elliott (.369, 16 2B, 9 HR, 50 RBI, 55 R) rounds out the All-America trio, who keyed the Patriots to a national runner-up finish.
The RCSJ All-America duo of pitcher Emily Childs (22-4, 1.95 ERA, 126 K, 1.18 WHIP, 227 opp. BA) and DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher Sienna Walterson (.519, 14 2B, 4 HR, 36 R, 39 RBI, .575 OBP, 4 K/121 PA) keyed the Roadrunners to a No. 2 overall seed and a 1-2 finish at the NJCAA DIII World Series.
CCCTI first baseman Taryn Estes (..406, 11 2B, 15 HR, 47 RBI, .841 SLG), Hudson Valley pitcher Moira Collins (14-5, 1.57 ERA, 133 K, 8.67 K/7 IP, 1.23 WHIP) and Surry CC third baseman Chloe Edwards (.415, 68 H, 11 2B, 7 HR, 42 R, 50 RBI) round out this year's All-Americans.
NFCA NJCAA DIII All-America athletes are nominated and voted by NFCA-member head coaches to receive this prestigious accolade.
