Wildcats improved to 4-0 in conference play with wins over Bismarck State State College and Lake Region State College.
The Lady Wildcats advanced to 3-0 in conference play after a huge home win against Bismarck State College on Monday Jan. 15 with a 76-66 win.
The Wildcats were led by Freshman Mina Porte with a solid 15 points and five rebounds. Dayuna Johnson contributed 10 points while Lauren Johnson added 12 points with 4-of-5 from the field and 2-of-2 from behind the arc. Freshman Olivia Bell was a huge presence in the paint going 5-of-7 from the field and finished with 11 points.
Following a win against Bismarck State, the Wildcats had a quick turn around and hit the road for a huge conference rivalry game against Lake Region State College.
NDSCS jumped out to an early 17-4 lead after the first quarter but the Royals bounced back only being down six points going into half time.
The Wildcats out worked Lake Region 43-25 in the second half picking up their fourth conference win with a 77-53 win on the road and out rebounded Lake Region 52-36 on the night.
Mina Porte finished with a team-high 23 points while reserves Jazmine Glenn added 11 points and Breahna Butler combined for 12 points and a team-high nine boards.
With the two wins, NDSCS moves to 18-2 (4-0) on the season. The Wildcats will prepare for Williston State on Monday Jan. 22 and Thursday Jan. 25 against Dakota College - Bottineau. Both games tip at 5:30 p.m. at the Clair T. Blikre Activities Center.
