#22 Wildcats Improve to 8-0
NDSCS Defeats NCTC 68-42
The NDSCS Wildcats came into the game on Saturday ranked #22 in the NJCAA D1 poll. The Wildcats traveled to Thief River Falls, MN to take on Northland CTC. The Wildcats got off to a good start taking a 10 point lead into half. The Wildcats were able to continue to build their lead throughout the second half with ball movement and finishing at the rim. The Wildcats had 10 assists to only eight turnovers on the night. The rebounding battle was even at 31-31. The 'Cats shot 13-16 from the line to help the cause as well.
The Wildcats were led by Mckena Koolmo who had 17 points on 7-17 shooting. Maggie Westling added a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Hailey Markel made her mark by scoring 10 points including her first career 3 pointer. Mia Berryhill led the Wildcats with eight assists and four steals.
The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday as they host Ridgewater at 5:30 PM in Wahpeton at the BAC.
