Wildcats sweep DCB
Wildcats dominated Tuesday night in the BAC.
NDSCS had complete control in their home match with Dakota College at Bottineau. The Wildcats got off the hot start and never looked back. The first set was all NDSCS as they got off to a 12-3 run right off the bat. After the Ladyjacks were able to get a couple of points, Katelyn Stalboerger answered with a huge kill to put the 'Cats up 13-5. The Wildcats were in control of the first set winning it 25-10. The second set started off a lot like the first with the Wildcats making some incredible plays defensively. Mia Miller made a miraculous dig which helped the Wildcats start off the set 10-3 forcing DCB to call a timeout. Samantha Kohl had a big kill from the back line to put the Wildcats up 15-5 in the second set. The Wildcats got an ace from Riyan Eckert to finish off the second set 25-14. The Ladyjacks got off to a good start in the third starting off the set 3-0 before NDSCS tied it up 4-4 by another Samantha Kohl killed assisted by Payton Foster. A big kill from Allie Rushing and then an ace from Samantha Kohl gave the Wildcats a 12-11 lead. The Wildcats finished off the third and final set going on a 15-4 run to get the set 25-15, and the game 3-0.
Coach Jane Passa on the victory said, "We had a nice even offensive evening. We are finally starting to find the best fit for our line up and look forward to getting better in conference play. Williston State College has a lot of great offensive player so we need to focus on defense tomorrow and control the momentum." The Wildcats now sit at 12-2 on the season and will play Williston State College tomorrow night beginning at 7PM. Coach Passa is now at 690 career wins.
