NDSCS Hosts Rival BSC for Sophomore Night
The NDSCS Wildcat Volleyball team is receiving votes in the latest NJCAA D2 poll. The Wildcats are sitting at 20-3 (8-1 Mon-Dak) while Bismarck State College is currently 19-3 (8-0 Mon-Dak). The Mystics beat the Wildcats 3-0 earlier in the season.
NDSCS is coming off a 3-1 weekend where they played in the Central CC Pinnacle Bank Classic. BSC had a 2-2 weekend as they played in the DMACC Invitational. BSC has the top record in the Mon-Dak while NDSCS is right behind them in second. The game on Wednesday night could have major playoff implications and could possibly determine seeds and host sites for the Mon-Dak tournament.
NDSCS is led by Sophomore Samantha Kohl who now sits third all time in kills at NDSCS. Kohl is averaging 4.45 Kills per set. Payton Foster has also found her way into the individual leaderboard averaging 7.75 Assists per set which puts her currently at 43rd in the nation. Foster missed time early due to an injury, but since her return she has been a top player for the Wildcats. Allie Rushing, Mya Boomsma, Kaylee Stegora, and Katelyn Stalboerger are all averaging over 2 kills per set as well.
This game will be Sophomore night for the 'Cats at 7PM at Ed Werre Arena inside the Claire T. Blikre Activity Center in Wahpeton, ND.
